North America’s largest higher education sustainability conference!

Nashville, TN, October 6-9, 2013

I am so very pleased to announce that WKU will be a sponsor of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education annual conference in Nashville this October 6-9. The conference theme is Resiliency & Adaptation and the conference will be held at the new Music City Center.

The keynote speakers include Raj Patel – author, journalist and food policy expert, and Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins – Chief Executive Officer for Green For All. The conference is attended by nearly 200o students, faculty, staff and university leaders from around the globe, and there are hundreds of presentations and workshops to educate and inspire.

The early bird registration ends on June 14th, so if you’d like to attend please register soon to save money. WKU is an AASHE member, so you may also take advantage of our institutional member discount.

The Student Summit is amazing, bringing together hundreds of students from around the world to share ideas, ask questions, challenge each other, and be inspired by great keynote speakers.

If student registration fee assistance is needed, please contact me – limited student registration sponsorships are available, through support from Sodexo and the WKU Department of Facilities Management.
